Memorial day rediculousness

I need to work on posting more... anyway, two weekends ago was memorial day, and i headed down to Boston to visit my college friends.  It was also Travis' 25th birthday!  yup he's an old man! haha  I went down to Boston on the Saturday of Memorial day weekend because Saturday morning I helped out my parents with their yard sale.
Saturday night we went out to Lir in Boston with the crew.  There was a lot of Icing going on... which i hadn't heard of until that weekend.  Someone buys you a Smirnoff Ice (or a similar drink) and then you have to get down on one knee and chug it! kinda gross and i'm glad I didn't get iced! haha  Those drinks remind me of high school, they are waaay to sweet and make me sick when I drink them.
Saturday we woke up and got ready for the BBQ.  Everyone arrived at about 4ish and we started drinkin and playin games.  It was a lot of fun! My friends are ridiculous and we always have a good time!

Shenanigans

SO.. kick ball started last thursday! It was awesome, even though we lost we still had fun.  I really like the two socials we had in the middle of the game to just come together and drink.  I really liked the camaraderie that was demonstrated... alright in all seriousness it really was fun.  We got a little showered on (it was so little i wouldn't even call it "rained on") at the beginning but then the sun came back out and we had a rainbow! Actually we had a double rainbow! you can kind of see the second one in the picture...

We also were lacking in the uniform department which Toby said he would make sure we had uniforms for the next game which is this Thursday. I'm gonna hold him to that!  We did not have to call any shenanigans during the game which honestly was a little disappointing.  Shenanigans for those who don't know is what you yell at someone when they are acting like an idiot. For example if they peg a girl in the head with a kickball when the back or thigh would have sufficed.  Then the person who committed the shenanigans has to wear a pink visor and a pink moomoo (old ladies nighty) for the remainder of the game. Hence why I was a little disappointed.  After the kickball game we had a BBQ and then went DT to Drink (the Bar) and had some 2 dollar switches.  All in all it was a very good thursday afternoon.

What I've been doin' lately

So I needed something to start on and I thought I would start with what I'm "trying" to do lately. I'm trying to learn how to skateboard... ha ha ha yea I know funny. But really all I want to do is be able to drop into the bowl and skate around it. It just looks like a lot of fun. I don't need to do anything crazy but its definitely harder than it looks. I'm on the social committee for the WPA (Woman's Professional Association) at Burton and we had a Woman's learn to skate night. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait for the next one. But before then, I need to practice more at lunch or after work but heres the thing. haha yea, I kinda hurt my foot the last time out, which was the first time this season. oops...

It's feeling a lot better and I can't wait until its healed so I can get back out there.

I think by next week I should be alright. So after I get out in the bowl again, I will update my experience and hopefully it will be injury free.
